What is Scrip?

Scrip is a “no cost” way to support the DDCC – Scrip is essentially gift cards from local and national retailers purchased at face value from the DDCC. Scrip is identical to gift cards you would purchase directly from stores and is used in the same manner. Scrip is available for everyday expenses like groceries (Dot's Market), restaurants (Appleby's, BW3, Wendy's, Taco Bell), gasoline (Shell, Speedway, BP), books (Barnes & Noble, Borders), clothing (Kohl's, JCPenney, Lazarus), hardware (Lowe's, Home Depot) and other essentials. Scrip also makes great gifts!

Why buy Scrip?

The DDCC can purchase the cards at discounted prices. The difference between the face value and the discounted purchase price becomes profit for the DDCC. These profits provide funding for the DDCC program. Profits vary from 2% to 25% per card, depending upon the retailer.

Example: If you purchased $100 in Dot’s grocery gift cards, the DDCC would pay only $95 for the certificates. The actual value of the certificate is still $100 when redeemed in the store. The difference is the profit back to the organization. myScripwallet
